3rd year student at Arizona State University, pursing a BFA in Dance
The moment I knew I wanted to become a professional dancer was during my senior year in high school when I took a modern master class at a high school dance convention.
My favorite styles of dance are House, Modern, and Hip Hop.
The people who demonstrate that hard work and dedication pays off in the long run, even if there is no direct outcome of fame, glory, and/or money. The individuals who motivate, encourage, and inspire others simply by displaying their passion through the things they love to do.
Randy has been dancing since the age of 9. At that time, it was nothing more than a past time to do with friends. His attraction to dance and the entertainment world grew when he began taking dance classes his senior year of high school where he took Jazz, Modern, and Ballet.
Upon graduation, Randy auditioned to be in Arizona State University’s Department of Dance, now the School of Dance, to continue his dance training. During his first couple of semesters he had the privilege of dancing in a number of undergraduate and graduate pieces as well as being apart of ASU’s Hip Hop Coalition. He began dancing professionally when he made the Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad in 2009 and during the fall joined the Phoenix Suns APS Solar Squad.
Randy is currently in his 3rd year at Arizona State University, pursuing his BFA in Dance. While attending ASU, Randy also works on ASU’s School of Dance Technical Crew and dances on the Phoenix Suns APS Solar Squad for his second year.
