There’s no doubt about it – 2012 has been a busy year for EPIK Dance Company! They have performed at several events throughout the valley, hosted master classes with some of the industry’s best, and been blessed with the opportunity to work with some phenomenal community organizations like Free Arts of Arizona and The Be Kind People Project!

And with all of that excitement, it’s just the beginning.

EPIK Dance Company is currently working on a number of performance and education initiatives. The date has been set for their 2013 stage performance (hint: it will be the perfect idea Valentine’s Day weekend), they are further developing the EPIK Movement (Empowering Passion In Kids) and other supporting education programs. But don’t you worry – EPIK Open Company Classes are still in effect, and will be all summer long.

After taking a much-needed break to recover from all of the excitement of 2011, EPIK Dance Company’s Open Company Classes will resume on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at 8:30pm with WEEZY’S CHOICE w/ Luis “Weezy” Egurrola. Classes are $7 (unless otherwise noted) and take place at Paula Carr Dance Academy at 3310 N. Hayden Rd. in Scottsdale. Check out our Calendar for more info on how YOU can get down with EPIK!

Join EPIK at Tempe Center for the Arts.

// On Saturday, November 5th, EPIK Dance Company will be a part of “Dance the Night Away” at Tempe Center for the Arts. EPIK will be kicking off the evening with a stage performance in the theater at 7:30pm, followed by DJs and dancing in the lobby area. Tickets are $25 for balcony seating and $30 for orchestra seating and include access to the dance party after the performance. Buy your tickets now!

“ARTbeat” is EPIK Dance Company’s annual silent auction fundraising event. Proceeds from the evening will be used to support EPIK Dance Company’s education and performance initiatives, including the EPIK Movement (Empowering Passion In Kids) school program, our future scholarship program, and our 2012 performance.

EPIK Scholarship Information

The purpose for offering our Open Company Classes is to provide dancers at a more advanced/professional level the opportunity to grow and develop amongst their peers. We pride ourselves on offering classes in a positive environment that encourages dancers to really explore their movement while they challenge their current skill-set. The dancers who attend these classes also become extended members of the EPIK Dance Company family as we foster the growth of the dance community here in Arizona.

The purpose of the EPIK Dance Company Class Scholarship is to provide training opportunities to individuals that have demonstrated an outstanding desire and dedication to the art of dance, while providing positive contributions to the dance community (and their local community as a whole).

Recipients of the EPIK Dance Company Class Scholarship will be granted access to EPIK’s Open Company Classes and public workshops from September 1, 2011 thru May 31, 2012.
