An Update From Epik

There’s no doubt about it – 2013 was a busy year for EPIK Dance Company! 2013 featured all new performances, new educational initiatives, workshops, residencies, and of course our Open Company classes. We have performed at several events throughout the valley, hosted master classes with some of the industry’s best, and been blessed with the opportunity to work with some phenomenal community organizations like Free Arts of Arizona, Act One,  and The Be Kind People Project!

And with all of that excitement, it’s just the beginning.

EPIK Dance Company unveiled  an all new full-length stage show “EPIK Effect” at Tempe Center for the Arts in February 2013.  EPIK created an all new education initiative “Every Move Matters” addressing bullying in schools and the community and offering a creative approach in inspiring tolerance and acceptance. With sold out crowds for “EPIK Effect” and over 1000 middle school children attending “Every Move Matters”;  EPIK continues to demonstrate their commitment and passion for creating performance art with a purpose.

EPIK revived their groundbreaking stage show “Common Ground” which was unveiled in October 2013 at Tempe Center for the Arts! The show was met with rave reviews and we are thankful to all of our friends, family, and sponsors for all of their support.

Most recently, EPIK was nominated for the 2014 Governor’s Arts Award for the third year. EPIK opened the celebration with the debut of their newest work, a collaboration with live musicians, Simply Three. We we have continued out partnership with The Be Kind People Project, representing the “Be Kind Crew” and sharing the message of kindness to school age children, educators, and administrators. EPIK has continued a partnership and residency with Washington Elementary School District as part of the Academic Avengers after school assembly programs.

EPIK Open Company Classes are still in effect, and will be all year long. We offer open company class at Mesa Arts Center on Thursdays 8:30-9:30pm and two classes on Sunday 1:00-3:00pm! In addition,  as the resident dance company at Mesa Arts Center, we offer affordable classes each week for youth, teens, and adults. For more information and registration please visit

EPIK is proud to present an all new full-length stage show, Simply EPIK. The show will debut at Mesa Arts Center March 6th and 7th, 2015. Tickets on sale NOW. Check out for event details and tickets.
